Baton Rouge Gears Up for the 3rd Annual Krewe of Gus Young Mardi Gras Parade

BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) — Get ready, Baton Rouge! The 3rd Annual Krewe of Gus Young ATVs Parade is set to dazzle the streets on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at noon. This spectacular event, hosted by State Representative C. Denise Marcelle, promises an unforgettable celebration with vibrant floats, high-energy dance teams, lively marching bands, and a whole lot of Mardi Gras magic.
“This parade is a celebration of everything that makes Baton Rouge special—our culture, our energy, and most importantly, our people,” said Rep. Marcelle. “Mardi Gras is more than just a party; it’s a tradition that brings us together and showcases the creativity and spirit of our community. I’m excited to see everyone come out and make this year’s event truly extraordinary.”
Applications are now open for those looking to join the parade lineup. The entry fee is $150 for floats and $50 for ATVs and motorcycle riders. Payments must be made in cash or by money order, payable to the Mid City Baptist Community Fellowship. The deadline to apply is January 31, 2025—no exceptions, so don’t wait!
