Baton Rouge General to Offer Free Monthly Vein Screenings for Early Detection
Each session will include a brief medical evaluation and an ultrasound to examine superficial leg veins.
Baton Rouge General Medical Center is launching a free monthly vein screening program, providing the community with vital early detection of vein-related health conditions. Beginning this month, the screenings will offer individuals a chance to assess their vascular health and address potential concerns before they escalate.
Each session will include a brief medical evaluation and an ultrasound to examine superficial leg veins. Those experiencing symptoms such as swelling, ulcers, varicose veins, spider veins, blood clots, or deep vein thrombosis are encouraged to take advantage of the screenings. Early detection can be key in preventing more serious complications and improving overall vascular health.
The screenings will take place from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Bluebonnet campus on the following dates: Feb. 11, March 13, April 16, May 13, and June 18.
Appointments are required and can be scheduled through the hospital’s website. With limited availability each month, early registration is recommended.
