Early Voting Begins for Louisiana’s Feb. 15 Special Primary Election
Early voting is available Feb. 1 through Feb. 8, with polling locations open daily from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., except on Sunday, Feb. 2, when polls will be closed.
BATON ROUGE, La. – Louisiana voters have the opportunity to cast their ballots early for the upcoming special primary election scheduled for Feb. 15. The election will determine representatives for the 14th and 23rd state senatorial districts.
Early voting is available Feb. 1 through Feb. 8, with polling locations open daily from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., except on Sunday, Feb. 2, when polls will be closed. Voters can participate by visiting their parish’s Registrar of Voters office or other designated early voting locations.

To vote in person, individuals must present a valid form of identification, such as:
- A Louisiana driver’s license
- A Louisiana special ID card
- A passport
- A digital license via the LA Wallet app
Ahead of Election Day, voters are encouraged to review their sample ballot to familiarize themselves with the candidates and issues on the ballot.
