Inspire Charter Academy Students Explore Baker’s Rich History at Heritage Museum
Kindergarten students from Inspire Charter Academy explored Baker’s rich history at the Heritage Museum, immersing themselves in artifacts and interactive exhibits.
BAKER, La‚ — The Inspire Charter Academy kindergarten classes were thrilled about their field trip to the Baker Heritage Museum & Cultural Center. Thanks to Ms. Shemeatric Coleman, Dean of Lower Elementary, and museum director, Mrs. Cynthia Grimes; 53 students had the opportunity to learn about many captivating historical relics that left them wanting to know more.
Applying wonder and curiosity, one student asked, "Did people really drink water from those wells?"
That was an excellent question for Mrs. Grimes which she explained in rigorous detail. After the indoor tour, the students along with the teachers and volunteers moved on to the outdoor exhibits which included small depictions of how the lifestyles were at the turn of the century. These exhibits include: a grocery store, a church, a train station, a more.

It can be said with certainty that the kindergarten classes of Inspire Charter Academy enjoyed this adventure.
