Sid Edwards Expands Transition Team Ahead of January Inauguration
BATON ROUGE, La. — Baton Rouge Mayor-President-elect Sid Edwards has announced an additional 13 members to his "Win EBR" Transition Team, bringing the team closer to its anticipated total of 100 members ahead of his Jan. 2 inauguration.
This follows the announcement earlier this week of 26 initial members, with Rick Edmonds named as chairman and Darrell Glasper as co-chairman. Edwards emphasized the collaborative nature of the transition effort, saying, "We are excited to continue to build upon our strong start. Key stakeholders and leaders are encouraged by our promise for change and are joining this important process.”
Edwards described the latest announcement as “part two” of a larger rollout, signaling that more names will be added in the coming days.
New Transition Team Members
The newly announced members bring diverse expertise from public policy advocacy to business development. The 13 members include:
- Catherine Alexander: Member of the Louisiana Citizens Advocacy Group, LLC, focusing on public policy advocacy.
- Monique Appeaning: Former fiscal analyst and special projects coordinator for the Louisiana Legislative Fiscal Office.
- David Beach: President and CEO of the Huey and Angelina Wilson Foundation, supporting human services, healthcare, education, and prison reentry.
- Michael Chittom: Active LAGOP representative and District 6 delegate at the 2024 Republican National Convention.
- Joey Coco: Licensed civil and structural engineer with Forte and Tablada, Inc.
- Todd Grigsby: CEO and Principal of Cajun Industries Holdings, LLC.
- Scott Kirkpatrick: Partner at Pelican State Partners, a lobbying and association management firm.
- Rolfe Mccollister: Founder and Chairman Emeritus of the Baton Rouge Business Report.
- Chance McNeely: Partner at The Delta Resource Group, specializing in government affairs and online marketing.
- Millard Mule’: Director of Policy for Louisiana Gov. Jeff Landry.
- Fabian Sauhing: Business Development Associate for GEC, a consulting and engineering firm.
- Matthew Valiollahi: Founder and CEO of Southern Marsh Collection, LLC, a retail clothing brand.
- Ashle’ Young: Executive Director of EnvisionNBR, a nonprofit focused on revitalizing Baton Rouge neighborhoods.
